Vessel Safety Checks

What is a Vessel Safety Check?

A Vessel Safety Check (VSC) is a complementary stem-to-stern inspection or your vessel, conducted by United States Coast Guard (Auxiliary) personnel, the goal of which is to inform you—the vessel's owner—if your vessel meets the minimum Federal requirements established by the United States Coast Guard, for vessel safety and seaworthiness.

To see what a courtesy Vessel Safety Check covers, please take a look at the Vessel Safety Check Department Chief's Website.
